Christy Lynn

Artist of Magical Realism,
Silks, Watercolors and Mixed Media
Overtones of Fantasy and Wonder......
Vaguely Mysterious Landscapes of Nature.....
Usage of Colors to Portray Moods and Feeling
After 25-year hiatus from the paintbrush, Christy's return has burst onto the canvas,
demonstrating color, motion, and ideas. Her wish is to depict life in a transformed scene:
a magical escape, on the edge of fantasy; a place we may dream to be. Let your eyes enjoy
the journey.
Primarily a self-taught artist, Christy's creativity was initially encouraged by her mother,
an artist also. She was drawn to watercolors initially, then expanded to acrylics, mixed
media and silk painting. She has exhibited in various shows throughout Montana,
Minnesota, Mexico and Greece. She has been commissioned for paintings of homes, cabins, gardens,
portraits, silk scarves and a series of six works representing Montana State Symbols at the Missoula
International Airport, wine labels, as well as works of public art. Silk scarves are her
specialty and always in demand. Christy's work can be viewed in Missoula at The Artist's
Shop, Missoula BicycleWorks, various First Friday Events and The People's Market and Artistic Dreams
Gallery in Big Fork, MT. She can be contacted for custom work or a viewing of current works at her studio.
All of Christy's artwork is uniquely her own and represents life experiences and personal sentiment.
